So update: bass #21 was supposed to be in stock within the week, I am hoping there week includes Sat and Sunday 
My little road worn collection... just got my 60th anniversary RW Jazz yesterday
That's a beauty. How does it sound? First impressions?
Updated for my newest acquisition.
-parts Precision (Fender Jazz neck, Squier body.)
-Dean acoustic (rarely gets played, but nice to have.)

It’s a great bass for sure. Speaking about build quality, the bass is very well put together, no flaws.
I don’t know the weight yet but is perfectly balanced, better than my old 734a and far far better than an AO Precision.
Soundwise (is this word appropriate?) the bass is super versatile. The bass has a great P sound imho, not as vintage as a Fender AO but very close. Obviously the j pickup adds tons of versatility and soloed it has the classic nasal sound expected on a jazz bass.
I recommend this bass 100%

Exactly the bass I want... 70s J, black w/ tortoise guard, bound maple neck, rosewood with pearloid blocks. A little rich for my blood. I'll have to settle for a MIM RI, or a parts build. Congrats on a beautiful bass.
I miss that Peavey. One of my favorite necks of all time.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! -Love black cats! Me and the 'ol lady (and a big friendly Poodle) raised a clatch of 8 of them once; all kittens orphaned in a wind-howling tree-destroying storm in NJ. The trees missed our house (barely, -luckily only fell cross-ways inna street in front of the house) but the too-young kittens' mom disappeared and after finding them all wet and mewling in a bush next to the house we took them in and bottle fed them until they grew a bit. Friends eventually took all of them and said they were the nicest, friendliest cats they ever met... ;>})

I almost decided to post a new thread giving everybody an opportunity to show off their beautiful (and some 'beautiful in their own way') basses, because I finally have my entire collection of stringed instruments at home captured in two photographs. But I'll just post them here. None of these was overly expensive, or extravagant.. but each of them has something to love about them. And the Talman I've owned less than a week.. and think she's especially gorgeous. And don't you mind that lil' ol' Strat.. she's just there.
