Haha...If I ever entertain the thought I will get a hold of you. The crimson is the Pentabuzz and the chocolate is a MVP. Both are totally unbelievable! Most know how good the Pents are but this MVP is just plain ole insane. It's got a 70's jazz tone with a very sweet sizzley zing on top. The JJ set up is definitely something you don't come across every day. If Mike Pedulla ever surfaces, I hope to be in shape to order a MVP6 with the JJ configuration. Absolutely ridiculous!
The 'cream' of the knobs i bought doesn't quite match the pickup covers. But I'm definitely not going down the rabbit hole of trying to match plastic colors. Time to play it. Can't imagine ever parting ways with this thing.

After many years of longing for a real P Bass I finally ended up horse-trading my way up to a minty P Bass. Starting with a $200 guitar it took about two years of constant scouring of FB and CL classifieds to eventually turn into a P. As just a hobby player I don't mind it being MIM, it is everything I need, I don't see any need to change anything yet. The strings it came with appear to be Labella White Nylon Coppers, what ever they are they feel slick as snot and sound pretty good to me.

Most important thing is how that neck feels and how it sounds. If your happy with both of those qualities, cost is irrelevant.....
I currently have a MIM P at home and it’s best sounding one I’ve played and has a nice slim jazz neck on it too(which I prefer).

One of my favorite P Basses I own is a My 1st Fender in 2018 for $500.00, Open Box from Musicians Friend. It's a 2018 MIM Fender Limited Edition Standard Telecaster® P Bass®. I added Mike Dirnt Loaded Pickguard and Babicz Bridge. The Mike Dirnt Vintage 59 pickup is Amazing compared to the cheap stock pickup w/ Ceramic bar magnets and wound to a weak 4.9 K. The 59 CS is wound to a warm 10.85 K. She is now Bad-Ass for less than $700 w/ Case.
The quality is amazing and the only upgrade it really needed was the pickup. Don't know why the stuck such a cheap/lame pickup in it. It was also odd that the truss rod adjusted at the headstock instead of the heal but it's a solid neck plus easy to adjust if needed. It sounds and plays with the best of them. It's a gem, IMO.
