This is my new (to me) Fender Japan double neck bass. It is AWESOME.

It is also extremely rare. I have not seen another made in Japan. I am sure they are out there. I hope someone here can point me to another one! I want more info.

It is one sweet guitar. Its like Lays potato chips only instead of "betcha can't eat just one..." that bass is more like "bet you can't put it down after a minute."

Are you sure it's factory? I've never seen anything like that from Fender, and the finish looks... unusual where the seam would be if you stuck two basses together. Still cool no matter the origin

I am not sure if it is factory... perhaps not. Definitely made from Fender Japan basses but if it is factory, it has been stripped and refinished. The owner was clearly going for a sort of relic look for sure. I have lots of plans for it.... new pickguard, new bridges, rewire with push/pull tone/volume pots for all the pups, and possibly sanding off the finish and having it properly/professionally redone.

That said, I love it and its a blast to play.
