Glad to have a Caprice back in my stable . Alder/ maple/ oil hand rubbed Jazz Bass necks , 19mm string spacing works perfect for me!!

I sold mine (exactly like yours) and regret it. I did want diamond blue, but i also didn't know they would discontinue them. I would love to get mine back, especially for the low price I sold it for

I had Diamond blue and had to sell mine when I moved cross country from Cali back to Florida. But the white is just as nice .

This weekend was the first time in almost two years that I've had all my basses together in one place. Nothing exotic or expensive, most are just basic MIM Fenders. I try to rotate them out as my main player every few months. All of the Fenders have high-mass bridges and the Spector was made passive with Geezer Butler pickups and the input jack moved to the front.

That’s really interesting. I had a Czech reissue for a couple of years. Loved the ergos; disliked how hot it was compared to my passive Fender at the time.

A Czech-made or Korean-made was what I was in the market for before I got this one (which is made in Indonesia). As far as the pickups go, they were definitely the weak point on this bass. The wiring was poorly done and I could not dial in a workable tone, so I switched them out for EMG Geezer Butlers. I have always liked the sound of Geezers; to me they have that classic "rock" sound. Since I changed the pickups on the Spector, I find that I use it a lot more for live playing - there is not a lot of knob-fiddling; just set and forget. I also prefer the cord to be front-mounted so I used the extra hole to re-route the cord and plugged the old side-mount hole.

Well I have a new addition to my family. Brand new off the rack 2018 Vintage Modified Jazz Bass 5 string. Been playing this thing everytime I went to my local music depot for the past year when first touched a 5 string.

Went in today since I've got a serious hankerin for a straight up Precision and finding nothing I wanted I picked up this bass again.

Now joining me on a playdate today was @GodPlayedBass and as he fell totally in love with a brand spankin new Jaguar with the single humbucker, I came to the realization that this bass was coming home with me. KnowwhatImean???

Asked the owners son if they would knock 30 bucks off the 379 list price and sell it for 350, you know, before it whitherz on the vine...

When he agreed, I had me a fantastic new 5er. Five strings aside, this is one really cool easy playin bass. It baffles me it sat on the rack so long. Guess it was waitng for me to come along.

Had a great day with @GodPlayedBass and the VM Jazz was icing on the cake.
