So what kind of mad scientist are you?

sorry, OT, ......just wanted to answer:
i save the world, by making funny tones, haha.
Modularsynth, ....look at it as a kind of "Lego for Tones" and you have a quite good picture in fact.
Hollywood is for example since decades full with modularsynth specialist people.
And its there, also since decades, a very common thing to play guitars thru a modularsynth. (taking these infos out of the interwebs )
Can´t comment on Bass vs. them.
Its perfect when reaching for breathing, grooving, "sound ambiences", for example.
Bass works perfectly well as fodder.........
Maybe look at it as another realm for FX, beside the stompbox realm ( i have for example no stompboxes)

I swapped this Squier
(I think it weighed about

for this beautifully balanced Schecter!

The Stingray just came here today. Received a raise at work and figured I’d celebrate.
Not pictured are a couple on the workbench: Rickenbacker 4003 and a Fender Jazz Deluxe V that is currently in pieces. Oops.
I had that same amp back when and oddly enough...bought it in Germany when I lived there.

Yeah, my first amp I bought beginning the 90ies. I guess it’s a good old solid state with a lot of tone shaping options. In the rehearsal room it was never loud enough and I bought a SVT stack instead (which ruined my ears) and kept the Yamaha as a practicing amp.

Friedberg, about 30km south of Frankfurt. I remember the store was Musik Schmidt I believe near Romerplatz in Frankfurt. Lugged it all the way back on the train, but that was long ago LOL. I just saw the brown 50 watt 15" Yamaha combo in your photo and time traveled.
Friedberg an Gießen had a Hugh Military base. I used to drive to the Woodland and the American Burger King in Gießen a lot, because it was way better than the German crappie Mc Donald’s. I live in Herborn, where they stored the nuke heads long time ago. Lots of my friends are half Americans .
yeah, I was stationed in Friedberg and had an apartment in Bad Nauheim. Im just a regular full American. It was a good time to be there and I had a wonderful stay.

1968 Silvertone 1443 Hornet made by Dano for Sears Dept Store. It's passive and the controls are V/T V/T with a 3-way pu switch. They only came in a red black-burst. It was stripped when I got it so I did a distressed craquelure finish in red/black. Dano did that type of finish on some of their '60s guitars and basses.
