!The next time my wife hints that that the two basses I have are too many Imma show her this picture and inform her that I am giving consideration to her challenge.

The cream-white Lakland just Jumped off the couch at me!
such clean lines!
Where did the Beatle Bass come from?![]()
The Beatle bass is a recent import Hofner, not the real deal German kind. I got that on local craigslist for 200. Mainly because of Sir Paul and I thought it would look good hanging in our den. LOL
Yup!
Mine says ‘Hofner’ on the headstock, which is cool, but it’s actually an Icon Series…read Chinese-made.
Cheap, Cheap…
$250 at a local (GA)pawn shop about 10 yrs ago.
Changed out the tuning pegs immediately.
It makes sounds that none of the other members of the flock make…and it surely is ‘iconic’.

Oh Sh*t !, LOL. I don't want to be the cause of any marital strife. That being said, my EX-wife hated my bass collection and it was at least 3 or 4 short of what it is now. My GF on the other hand, seems to feed my habit. She's responsible for at least 3 of those and we've only been together for 4 years. I'm a very lucky guy
Whatever happens just remember; your basses will never ruin your life
and make you regret ever having ever met them...

All kidding aside my wife is very supportive of my bass playing and the band I play in. She doe occasionally raise an eyebrow when I tell her of an intended gear purchase but the ribbing is all in good-nature. Mrs. Jugghead is, after all, a saint for having married me in the first place.
Here is my meager collection of beloved oddities.
