The official "Show your basses" thread part 19!

L-RT
Jackson JS2 Concert Bass white
Ibanez GSR200 Sound Gear Gio gloss black
ESP LTD B-10 flat black
Ibanez GSRM20 Mikro Short Scale gloss purple
.
Only been playing for 4 months or so, already own 4 four string basses and can hardly play any of them.
I have an orange Sire Marcus Miller v3 4-string coming next. Have cases, stands and straps for everything.
It's all very addictive. Really crazy at 72 yo.

Best hobby you will ever find. Welcome to the club!

Was rearranging my room last night and realized this pairing looked amazing for a photo shoot!

Yeah I always liked the look of them. Is it made in China? How does it play and sound? I always wanted an Ibanez DB700. I may contact the Ibanez custom shop and see what they would charge to make one to my specifications. Kiesel custom shop has some nice pointy shapes too!

Yes made in China. Neck through, cirrus pre amp. Powerful sound sustain all day. I admitt I bought it because it looks badass. I finally found a big enough case for it.

Nice! I’m actually quite surprised with the Green Squier VM. I’ve gutted the entire instrument to see if it was originally painted but I don’t see any signs that it had a paint job done (or the previous owner did a really good job making it look original)

My suspicions however leaves me to believe that the body is from somewhere else when I took the neck off and spotted this.

That's cool! There's not enough sparkly green thing out there. I like yours.

:DSo you know I’m not a Jbass guy. So I usually say… Maybe it’s because I only have one? The Bell up there would make me a fulltime J man. So my one J is a 90’s Seymour Duncan. These Duncan’s were built by ESP. They are very nicely built. Built as a tribute as they are big Fans of Mr. Duncan and Mr. Fender. With original Duncan Sjb1’s. I put in the Stacked. Which for me made a big difference in working it. Tons of usable tones. I just tracked it and it sounds funny :D but pretty cool. I like this J thing. I went wah crazy so my apologies in advance :smug: And please forgive the hacking it was all done in a couple takes. tldr… it’s J Day all day ! P later..

Sounds good! I have more Ps than Js too but they are fun. That one is an MIJ Geddy with CS60s pickups. Those and the truss rod route (never needs it lol I got a great one) are all that's mechanically modified. Marty did the "Mountain Dew" green flake (chartreuse). It's a keeper. I noodled it for coffee this morning, but I'm off to a P for the rest of the day. That Duncan is the business there.
