When I started looking around for P bass, I thought there sure were a lot of Black basses with white pickguard and RW fingerboard. Boring!... Then I found one for sub-$300 and have changed my tune! It is a standard series from 2005. I think it looks great and - with the addition of a functional bridge - plays and sounds great.

This is where I’m at and couldn’t be happier. 1963 P bass (all original) and Fodera Monarch cover me for every style and sound I need.
PBass built from Parts, PBass body, Jazz Neck, Emerson Electronics, SD Qtr Pounders
My new Spector Euro bolt 5. Dog not included.
Current collection - Höfner violin bass, fretless J-bass (Squier body, Fender neck), Lego/Emex bass, two Thomann 3/4 uprights - white for bluegrass, wood finish for classical.
That Lego bass is awesome.

Thanks. My partner is a Lego fan and made the body for me. It's a bit treble-y but with some EQ it sounds OK.

You have to use Tone Legos for the best results.
*I* find the 2x8, 1" blue legos to have superior tonal qualities, fight me!

So, what's the best Lego for metal?
Real nice! -What's the nut width and neck radius on the BB5000? It looks nice and thin for a fiver!
15mm string spacing. It's a regular 4 string BB2000 or 3000 neck. Not sure. But it is a 15mm spacing. I like it. Very easy to play and slap as well.
