Well... it´s part built; things I can see and know:
- Squier California Series neck
- mirror pickguard
- body natural finish, no varnish

All the rest I may ask for specs, from his creators.

Today it is going to get some upgrades:
Dimarzio Model J pickups (my favorite)
Stellartone Tonestyler varitone
Quality volume pot and output jack upgrade
3 way switch instead of two volume pots
Daddario Chromes flatwound strings

Thanks - I enlarged and see it clearly now. It looks like poplar in colour and grain - what my 3 Dano's (Coral/Sivertone's) are made of.

- Strings: GHS Boomers
- Body: marupá custom made (in english probably Simarouba), see below

I switched it up a bit this week, by adding a 2016 D'Angelico EX-Bass to the mix.

More or less full hollow-body, other than a large block under the bridge to support the stop bar tailpiece and oversized tuneomatic bridge. Medium scale (32.5") with a well-worn set of heavy-gauge D'Addario XL nickel rounds. The pickups are Hofner-esque humbuckers.

So my fleet now looks like this:

The Dingwall and the Guild are keepers.

It's too early to tell yet, but I think the D'Angelico might be as well.

The Ibanez and the Hofner are probably on their way out. Even 3 basses tends to feel like one too many to me...

Drooling over that D'Angelico EX-Bass … looking forward to hearing more about it.

Heavy. Easily one of the heaviest bass I own if not the heaviest.

Also, it was built as active, with a small preamp circuit (actually handcrafted boutique, by the same guy, who is building me a wannabe Precision 51, with 2 pickups).
