Maybe someone will help, by explaining what I've done to necessitate Static.TalkBass? I've uploaded the pictures...I believe they've all been compressed...but to see them, you've got to hit the IMG_****JPG. I'd like to write a tag for each, but it seems I'm not permitted. Any ideas? Thanks

Thank you... an embarrassing mistake that has stood the test of 40 years. I used to play with a pic alot. Not so much anymore...

Yes it is. I sanded off the horribly thin and almost non-existent "spalted" maple laminate and revealed a beautiful ash body. I also cut the point off the headstock, sanded off the LTD logo and replaced it with the Om symbol. But the biggest improvement was replacing the stock pickups with Seymour Duncan NYC switchable humbuckers wired up to 3-way switches for Series/Single Coil/Parallel.

I've always loved the looks of those Roscoe Becks. Don't know how they sound and what all those switches are for. Can you enlighten me?

IMO the Roscoe Beck is a really versatile bass with a lot of sounds. It is one of the best 5-string-basses, Fender ever made.
