Thanks and yes of course. It is a De Gier Soulmate. It is as vintagespec as a bass can get for me. That means it has a alder body with nitro laquer, maple neck and a dark rosewood fingerboard with a binding. But it also has a compound radius on the board and a modern bridge. Pickup is Lollar.

These are what I play now. Ibanez EHB1506MS (stock), Spector Performer 5 (modded), and a Steinberger Spirit XT-2 (stock, for now).

The Steinberger is the most recent acquisition. It's so much fun to play and easily cops a fat, round, warm tone. I have a set of NYXL 45-100s on it.

[God's Favorite Bass]

Alright, it's Christmas in August! Decided to trade one of my P basses for something T-birdesque. I have been eyeballing the newer Gibson non-reverse t-birds for some time, but had been concerned about the ergonomics and potential neck dive. Not sure if they do or not but man, that's a long body!

Cue the Fano PX4 Alt de Facto bass. The Fano sports a non-reverse t-bird type body, 32” scale neck and Lollar t-bird pickups. Controls are volume, pan and tone, and the Silvertone burst finish is right up my kitsch alley. The 32” scale neck is a breeze to play and with a 1.5" nut, this just might be my favorite neck.

Hey all, my assembly work this year so far looks almost finished. My thoughts are with Dusty Hill to memorialize but not follow a tribute bass. For me, a step outside and a nod to innovation given the old and true P bass form. As others have said, who needs a reason NOT to build up a SCPB? These are mates to an idea, and looking forward to playing with the band. The fractured pickguard on the split coil bass is something I wanted to do. Awesome full WD tort guard is waiting if I gather courage for a little control cavity routing.

Nice bass @LennyJ . How does the J pickup balance with the split Mustang pickup? I always thought that would be a better combination than a typical J/P combination since the P pickup usually overpowers the J.

finally got around to taking a pic of the American professional p-bass. just got done putting a new set of EB slinky flats on it and doing a full set up.

this p-bass and the stingray special 5 HH are my only 2 basses, and I am 100% okay with it


But I do want that Miami blue with maple finger pad am. Pro. 2… such a good looking combo
