Alright, it's Christmas in August! Decided to trade one of my P basses for something T-birdesque. I have been eyeballing the newer Gibson non-reverse t-birds for some time, but had been concerned about the ergonomics and potential neck dive. Not sure if they do or not but man, that's a long body!
Cue the Fano PX4 Alt de Facto bass. The Fano sports a non-reverse t-bird type body, 32” scale neck and Lollar t-bird pickups. Controls are volume, pan and tone and the Silvertone burst finish is right up my kitsch alley. The 32” scale neck is a breeze to play and with a 1.5" nut, this just might be my favorite neck.
