I think they both look great, aged nicotine and no aged nicotine.
Here's my 1964 P, my all-time favorite sounding Precision by a noticeable margin (and I've owned a bunch of pre-CBS Fenders), and loads of nicotine came on it:
Especially noticeable on the backs of the machines:
So maybe the nicotine indicates lots and lots of use by someone that agreed that it's one of the good ones.
