Yeah, the face was an added bonus..took a long time to find one that looked like me!

Phil Kubicki was a pioneer and his basses are very highly regarded with good reason. They do come around and are usually in good shape. They are well taken care of and kept for a reason. Everything from the 32" scale multi-lam neck design with vintage Fender 7 1/2" rad, hardware and electronics are all proprietary, designed by Phil. Briefly, the bridge is a tuning wheel you wind the string around and then tune up with the knob. It's a process and kind of a PITA, but once you get it, it holds tune. Very innovative, and the Drop D key is brilliant.
They have a lot going for them and I'm glad to have one again, especially in this condition.
