Can't beat 2 basses for 40 bucks though!

So, i have a Squier Affinity series P bass and a Peavey Milestone III J style bass.
I got the Peavey free (good condition too) and the Squier for 40$ because the previous owner dropped it and chipped the bottom corners. Other than that it seems to be alright. I do understand why the squiers are considered cheap basses though. I removed the pick guard (one layer compared to three layer on the PV) to check the wiring and all of the solder joints were either cracked, cold or non-existent. One terminal on the volume pot just had the wire wrapped around the lug with no solder...
