my guitarist loaned me his Ovation 5-string but i'm one of the needy! but i've got a J-bass on the way, that should keep me from jumping off the ledge of my building.

Sadly I don't remember. I got it out about a year ago and cleaned everything out, found a problem with the jack and has been on my to do list ever since.
