They all have nylon-core strings if that's what you mean. 2 Kinals (4-string fretless and 6-string fretted) and a beat up old Ernie Ball Earthwood.

what kind of sustain do you get out of those? On a classical guitar the tone tends to fade quickly, even on the nicest. I can't imagine what it would sound like in bass form.

I'm confused, what kind of basses are those??

Finally got a chance to play one the other day, really unique sounding, definitely something that would stand out in the mix. And the neck had a slidey finish like one of my pool cues.

Not a ton of sustain I guess...it's not really something I think about though. You can hear them here:

Me and my Fender Aerodyne. It's a 2007 CIJ non-export model, "dolphin gray" with black pickguard; this pic really doesn't do it justice. Pickups are SD Quarter Pounders, but I am thinking about changing them out for something less hot. Strings are Fender flats, just because I like the feel of flats over round wound strings...

Oh yeah, you can also see some of my STUFF in the lower corner. That's a Behringer BXL1800A amp that I practice with, plus Boss TU-2 and EHX Bassballs pedals in the line...

I forgget what they're called.

I love the finish on the Bongo necks! I've actually burnished the finish of the white Bongo's neck to a smooth gloss from constant use over the last 4-5 years. Great broken-in feel!
