Is that black Fender an Aerodyne? I'm GASsing heavily over one of those right now.

Few questions if it is:
-Where is it made?
-How does it sound?
-Is it a good bass?

- Yes, that is an Aerodyne.

- Japan!

- Okay - I swapped out the stock pups for Duncans: A QP in the P position and a Hot Stack Jbucker. The P pup is absolutely overpowering. I played in an '80s cover band, so I needed something a little more hot than the standard pups. There's nothing wrong with the stock pups.

- They are pretty solid for the money. I would recommend trying to find one used. I think they go for $700. I got one in pretty good condition for $400, used. There was an Aerodyne thread here a while ago. They are very, very light, but I have noticed neck dive. I would just be careful about putting strap locks on. I have Schallers, and the screw on the horn has stripped. One guy said that he replaced the tuners with ultralights and that fixed the neckdive problem.

I have been looking into replacing them for a while,but being blade pickups they have 4-string pickups measurements,so it's a bit a pain in the ass finding a fitting replacement...I contacted a luthier friend of mine which is gonna make some new ones just for it

They all have nylon-core strings if that's what you mean. 2 Kinals (4-string fretless and 6-string fretted) and a beat up old Ernie Ball Earthwood.
