Was thinking the same. $15 guitar stand = unbeatable insurance.

I read where Alembic designed their point bodied basses to keep people from doing this, because when they were a repair shop, they were constantly repairing instruments damaged from falling after being leaned against amps.

I've been wanting to buy a stand for some time, but I never seem to get the money for it. :P Suppose I'll have to just go buy one next time I get paid, and ignore the voice in my head that keeps screaming "no, you need that for food" xD

Ask anybody with a stering, the neck-joint thingy (it's shaped to the neck) is one of the best parts
