This is my go-to bass, a 1997 Spector Euro 5 NT (all-maple, too). If you want an in-your-face, trebly "zing!" in your bass tone, this is what you want.

This is my go-to bass, a 1997 Spector Euro 5 NT (all-maple, too). If you want an in-your-face, trebly "zing!" in your bass tone, this is what you want.

Lovely! I wish I could get on with the Spector neck profile. The Euro 5 NT is pretty much near my ideal fiver, if it weren't for the neck. That green is about what I would get, too, if I could deal with the neck.

Here are the 3 guys that get the most use:

The Strat on the left has the most beautiful bell tones you have ever heard and you gotta love the doubleneck Ovation even though it is harder than hell to play.

Of course the fretless guy in the middle gets the most use. That's my Fender Precision PJ from the late 70's (77', 78'??). I got it abused from my gutarist about 30 years ago and it needed a lot of restoration to get it sounding as it does today. I'm using Fretmaster strings right now and they sound great. Let's see...... It has a switchable dual coil bridge pickup and classic blonde precision type pickups or whatever they are called nowadays and a Bad Ass bridge. Not a mark on the neck and it feels real good. Nothing special but I like it and after years of service I'm slap happy
