Not really a progress pic, since it was taken a couple of days after the last round of shots, but I had taken this during my last visit to Pete's shop and the pickups had just come in. It almost looks like a real bass now!

<Sigh> I know. He mentioned to me that he was going to give all the instruments with deposits on them his attention, and let the unclaimed stock basses sit a bit more. I need to hurry up and get my Modulus Q6 moving so I can get in on the progress.

Well, I have to recant some of my earlier remarks. After spending a good bit of time ogling Pete's basses, the figured tops and exotic woods look great! I'm still going with an all ash bass first, but man those other basses look good. The stock walnut whale shape looks to be a beauty, and I've been tempted many times to call Pete up and ask about moving into that one instead. Good thing he's been occupied with the birth of his son as that has prevented me from bothering him so far.

Not sure I can hold on....much.....longer....though...

I.....feel.....weak.........

Dude, not only will you need the usual extra underwear on-hand, but you'll also need some chest armor, 'cause that thing will punch you hard... especially with 1200W of juice behind it. Holy mackerel! :)

I sure hope so! All the clips and videos I've heard have been very impressive to say the least, and the low weight will just make it that much more fantastic. Both my Moduli were nearly 11 pounds, even the 4 string VJ.

I've been playing with a 19mm 5 string, and it's cool but it's a little too wide. I'm used to 17mm 5's, and they're okay. I think the 18mm spacing on the Skjold iis going to be perfect.
