I'm very psyched! I sent the pic to Pete to see how accurate the rendering is. He said it's very close. The big difference will be the 3/4" round edging around the outline of the body, instead of the 1/4" that you see in a "Fender'style" body. This will make for some very nice curves!:eek:



And of course, the tuners will not be clovers.:)

Visited with Pete today to drop off some money towards my bass today, also saw Basso there. Pete and I finalized the last details on my Lion's Pride P. Its going to have an amber tint in the finish to make some of the figuring pop and Black hardware.

He uses a lot of that amber tint... it does AMAZING things to make the grain really pop... even if you don't use enough to really give the wood much tint. :)

Your bass is specifically what I had in mind when we discussed it. I was going to do a bit of a black burst, but decided I really liked the wood natural and just wanted to make it "richer" looking.

Precisely. And then I just wanted enough of a burst to give it a petina around the edges... to give it a bit more depth/dimension. Well, IMHO, it worked big time. Pete hit a hole in one on it.

What's goin' on PT? Your basses will look just as killer, my friend! Your myrtle top just floors me EVERY time I see it.

Pete is doing routing for pickups and electronics cavities. I believe he has all the jigs he needs. I think all the basses have holes drilled for jacks and knobs.

As you can see from my signature, I am now the exclusive UK agent for Skjold so my interests have changed slightly and I have to be careful not to upset the mods here. Needless to say that I am very happy with my new venture and the enthusiasm here is infectious:D
