Here's where this last batch of photos were taken: http://www.plantingfields.org/

The place is 409 acres. By comparison, New York's Central Park is 843 acres.

Although I've been here a dozen times, before I took these pictures last week I hadn't been here in a very long time. I still haven't explored the whole place. I'm going back again soon.

If you get the chance, visit this place; you'll be glad you did.

On a slightly different note, I don't know how I stumbled upon this video, but I feel that this girl and her voice would fit right in at the Arboretum.

Enjoy.

Mike ;)

Wow, I saw so many great shots hear! :hyper:

May I play with the Big Guys, m? Here are some tryouts by myself:

Alright lads & lassies, some pictures from the Broad Channel Irish Festival.

I posted a shot of this guy playing his Kubicki last year, but the lighting was better this time.

A lovely lass who plays the fiddle very well.

Here's a few shots of the U2 tribute band, Unforgettable Fire. They were excellent!

Playing your Geddy Lee as the sun goes down. Life doesn't get any better than this. ;)

Hearing how good the music was, these geese simply flew over the fence, and not one of them paid to get in. I thought this was very rude. :p

As night was coming on duty, an Air France Airbus A-380 climbs out of Kennedy on its way to Paris.

Where is Broad Channel? Look to the lower right of the map; it's the island in the middle of Jamaica Bay.

Here's Unforgettable Fire. If you get a chance, see this band! It's like seeing U2! They're that good!

Some new stuff, I'm only really happy with the first one. My gf was telling me something and I spotted this little girl in the corner of my eye. Her parents were calling her so I was just able to pull of this shot before she took off.

The last one is only halfway descent because the kid on the left walked into the frame unexpectedly. I guess luck is part of the game.

1 good and 2 descent pictures on a roll of 36...well yeah :hmm:

I love the graininess. What sort of film did you use? 3200?

I finally got a big boy camera (Canon EOS Rebel XTS [1000D in Europe],....entry level DSLR). I've now got a whole new world of tools open to me but for now here are some pics that I've taken with it in the last couple of days. 18-55mm lens. I use the Program function and in some cases go with Aperture Priority in order to get the depth of field I want (like in the railing at night picture).
