Can I get a number?

Not show in this picture but right outside the frame is my ALL Warwick rig:
X-treme 10.1
WCA411 (2 ea.)
I also have a WCA211 and a Take 12 combo!

Thanks Humpy_Thumb! That sounds like a logical solution to my issue... so anyone have a good source where I can get my hands on a MEC 3 band active preamp?

Tanks!

Your best bet is US distributor,
Hanser Music Group
3015 Kustom Drive
Hebron, KY 41048
USA
For Parts :
Mark Sharp (877) 363-6444
[email protected]

The Warwick webshop in Germany sells them but the shipping costs are steep.
If Hanser doesnt pan out try Rocket Music. They're a sponsored dealer on talkbass & the owners a very helpfull guy called Greg Bump.
Good luck.

Hey All!

Here it is - my 1998 Warwick Corvette Standard Fretless with new black hardware. The knobs are not Warwick - they are from All-parts. I think it looks pretty, pretty good (in Larry David voice) if I might say so myself.

Best,

ian

Don't hate me because of the ball ends. I think they look ugly as hell too, but the strings were cheap. Anyone know where I can purchase a set of black flats?

Also thinking about switching out the hardware for black, can I find replacement knobs/bridge/tailpiece in the U.S. or do I have to order them off of Warwicks site?
I wouldn't worry too much about the colorful ball ends but you can avoid it by purchasing almost anything beside D'Addario strings.

To the best of my knowledge you have to order replacement hardware from Warwick and resultingly be raped on the shipping charges. Hopefully the new US distributor will remedy this situation. For the record, I miss Dana B. Goods and their friendly service.

Fear not senior Bender Bending Rodriguez.
The friendly DBG's style service is being maintained by Hanser Music in good ol' Kentucky.Contact details, from custom shop enquiries to spares by the boot load can be had from the Warwick forum that welcomes ALL bass guitar players, regardless of what brand you prefer to play.Hope ta see ya's all there,if ya's can put your baseball bat necked,5 thousand dollar piece of drift wood down fer a sec to register ;)

That's good to know. I'm traveling right now but when I get settled I'll have a look-see.

Anyone know what strings come stock on Warwick models? Specifically the Corvette Fretless? I changed my strings to a higher gauge but realized that I prefer the stock strings that came on the Corvette.

Sorry for the late response. Yes, I ordered everything through Hanser Music, who is now the main distributor for Warwick in U.S..

They accidentally forgot to send me the string retainer & also sent me 3 LEFT tuners insead of 2+2, however, they sorted everything out & shipped me the replacements for no shipping charges. The whole order process took a while, as some of the parts were backordered.

They are mainly a distributor to music stores, however, they are recently shifting to include a direct-to-consumer sales approach. They are decent folks to deal with.

The knobs were from ALL-PARTS, purchased from a Sam Ash music store.

best,

ian

Hey guys / gals ...

I might have a line on a Warwick Corvette Fretless for $499.99 ... is that a good price for this model? Opinions?

Im asking here since this is probably the best thread to get information on it ... if Im in the wrong, let me know and Ill delete it.
