OMG...
One of the SSI's I used to have came with a Warwick hard case (not the flight case). Did they quit making them now??
I'm getting the flight case and a gig bag with the new SSI I have coming. I'm pretty sure I'll be using the gig bag 99% of the time, but the flight case will be nice to have, if I ever need it.

I had an almost exact one. Excellent sound (metal monster), powerful tight B, I just couldn't live with the balance and weight. You sure it's ovangkol neck? Mine was '98, and it was all wenge.

today as the UPS truck passed my house to stop next door and deliver a small, non-bass shaped package. Talk about a tease!
I don't have the bass in hand yet but the guy told me it was a 3 piece wenge ovangkol neck. I am hoping that the bass will arrive tomorrow afternoon so I'll know then for sure.

that was my only problem with the thumb when i tried a few out, it's a shame...I really did love the sound.
Here is the thumb I posted blurry pics of earlier. The guy told me that it was wenge/ovangkol on the neck, but in my limited knowledge, it looks like it's all wenge, with the two outer parts being a lighter colored wenge. Is this possible? The grain looks exactly the same.
Perhaps someone more knowledgeable can take a look at the pictures.

Just got a deal on a 2004 Corvette 4 string. I can't wait for it to get here! It's my first Wick.
