Hey guys, I got my first Warwick last night. A 1998 (I believe) Streamer LX ! I've been drooling over these for a while now and finally came across a good deal.
For you wick lovers. Just picked up an 87 Thumb that looks like it was kept in a safe. Beautiful quilt and incredible neck, action is laying on the frets, punchy as all get out with the factory EMG's. Check out the back of the headstock, wasnt aware they ever did that! Perfect companion to my 92 dolphin!

Colfer the warwick corvettemy first one, and I am so damn impressed!
what model is that? i have never seen a $$ or any warwick with a maple neck.
It's a Warwick $$ NT Corvette (one of 6 UK limited editions) with a swamp ash body, a AAAA koa top, a 5 piece flamed maple/ovankol neck and satin finished maple fingerboard.
Electonics-wise it has passive MEC music man p/ups and some active electronics that I'm still failing miserably to fathom...
It has such a warm tone, everso happy to have it as my first decent bassthere were two in the shop (electromusic in Doncaster, utter aladdins' cave of a place if you ever get the opportunity to go!
) with the only difference being the grain of the koa top. I didn't appreciate that the maple neck was such an oddity! It still has the typical ovankol growl though.

I played one of these in a shop and my wife bought this one for me:

I'm in love with my Vampyre LTD, I'll get some better pics when I get home from deployment.
quick question! I live in the UK and am finding it near impossible to find a shop that stocks a fitted hard case for my corvette...any advice? I really do have apprehensions in leaving the beauty in the rockbag soft case it came with
