Count me in. I never thought I would ever own a Warwick. This bass is so butter. I originally wanted a 5 string but this was too nice to pass up. It's a 93' Corvette Proline. I just need to find however the strap buttons connect and buy those pieces.

A lot of Warwicks fit dunlop strap locks... I'll try and remember to take a photo of mine for you later and you can see if they might fit?

Thank you. Very interested in wearing my bass when I play it :D. Then I get to get all the bass candy like.... a strap! Whoo hoo! I also will probably get some Circle K Strings for it and maybe a hardshell case. I noticed my Wick is a little shorter than my Squier, Do all you guys have Warwick cases or is there a special type of case to give it a snugger fit? It's real loose in a standard bass gig bag.

First time wick owner here so excuse the noob questions.

I have a case I picked up years ago and used to use when I was playing Musicmaster bases. It fits my Thumb like a glove. As I recall, the store owner told me it was an Ibanez guitar case, but there are no tags or markings anywhere on it, so I can't confirm. It's too narrow to fit my Fortress Masterman, but the Thumb has such a small body that it fits perfectly. It might be worth taking your bass around and trying some guitar cases out. Warwicks have such a short headstock that you might find something that will work.

Thought I'd chime in with my lastest acquisition. I got a '98 Thumb 4 neckthru for a song. Totally gutted; Bartolini single coils and just a vol/vol/dummy knob setup. Great wenge neck, comfortable and beautifully passive and organic. I have all the original MEC guts and may eventually put them in but really am diggin the passive no frills setup right now. Really works with the tonewoods in the body and neck. Total warwick growl. I'll try to put up some pics thru my mac's photobooth.

Musickmesse warwick vip room!
my guitar player and myself crashed the vip room and got loaded on sect and jegermeister!. I met beyonce's bassist and had a blast. Man what a great bunch of people!
special shout out to Lee, f.u.c.k. you man!

I took the pre outta my proline and had it wired vol/vol/tone. I liked the active Mec's so I kept those in. IMO your not missing much w/ MEC pre. I find the tone knob more useful.

I've owned quite a few different Warwicks recently, to include a Thumb NT 5, but I got one today from another TBer that blows them all away: 2004 Infinity SN 5! This bass seriously makes me wish I had a 4 banger version and the two would be all I want as far as basses! I haven't taken any pics, but I'm sure we all know what they look like :P I'll probably take some anyway in the next few days, haha :hyper: :bassist:
