paganjack said:Question for my fellow Warwick users:
At my last band practice I decided to run my Corvette $$5 in passive mode (since my battery died) and I actually liked the tone a lot more! It's way fatter (although I had to add some treble bite on my amp to compensate). It sat in the mix a little better in my metal band too- it fleshed out the bottom more. It also sounded better with my pedals (swollen pickle and a brassmaster). I do like the sound of the pre, but I was pleasantly surprised by the solid, growly passive tone too!
So how many people here don't use the pre-amps on their bass?

Has anyone taken over handing out numbers for the Wick Club?
I seem to recall the initial person was missing in action and someone else was going to give it a go?
Well just in case here is my Wick again.
2006 LE "Dirty Blonde" Thumb B.O.
daywalker never got back to me. if we did numbers again, we'd have to try to figure out what numbers have already been given out (might be able to find it in an older post) and start from there.
if we do it, we'll probably give out the same number to multiple people. let me see if i can find it, tho.
Hey thanks for the reply.
Well numbers are over rated anyway I guess
Being we are all just numbers in the real world, based on credit scores...
Was just curious if I had somehow missed what transpired back when the number questions were being tossed around awhile ago.
Thanks again.
That bass... Is absolutely beautiful!
Nah, daywalker is on and off of here. Life takes precedence, of course...i'm sure he'd be doing the numbers if he could.
I thought there was a list of the club members posted in a previous thread by DW, but i haven't found it. I guess i could just browse through 4 thousand posts and see if someone else posted it, lol.
I emailed DW again and pm'd Kho (who was the club VP at some point). Everyone keeps asking for numbers, so we may as well try to get it going again.![]()
