Man, massive difference on those open notes...can't see it as any benefit for fretted, but the open tone alone is likely worth the upgrade.

I'm a fan of brass on any bass, I've had them on all my Warwicks and they're on all of my Spector's and my headless builds… they're not that expensive.

Also have a Spector Dimension NS, always liked the "look" of the brass nuts, but having now heard the tone? I'll probably move that way- I play metal (no hate please!) and anything that helps me get that "piano tone" is definitely worth chasing down. I did look these up earlier tonight on the Warwick site. Anyone know if this model is the 45 or 47mm? Guessing 47 due to it being a 5'er?

my 06 Corvette came with a brass nut but not the Just-A-Nut, so other than the ability to adjust the nut height, wondering if it is worth upgrading.

IMHO only worth upgrading if
1) The current nut is not filed properly
2) you want to change string gauge and would need to adjust the nut

The JAN is a set and forget type of thing as I don't change gauge.

Are there any fretless warwicks with fret lines on the top side of the neck, or do they just have the marker dots on all models?

Was just checking out the Ezra Collective set from Glastobury and noticed the bass player TJ Koleoso has a really nice looking Warwick $$.

I've just been enjoying some Jimsaku on a decent stereo. Tetsuo Sakurai really gets a great sound out of that custom Infinity he has. He's always been a guy with great tone though, and what a player and writer he is.

Compare the sound of his Yamaha TRB6 on the first track here to the sound of the Infinity on the second. The Yamaha sounds brighter and more like a super-jazz bass. The second track features the Warwick and has that darker, denser low midrange sound going on. Both are absolutely stunning sounds and as you'll hear on these tracks, both basses feature a very positive and present low B string!

Hey all. I have a question. I just recieved my new to me 2006 Limited edition Dirty Blonde Thumb. I was super excited about it but it was in a bit of a state when I got it. It's definitely seen a lot more miles than it was presented as. My question is, is the preamp supposed to have Haz like grit? It's definitely differant than a Haz pre but there is some grit type distortion to it. Especially when you dig in.. I'm just not sure its supposed to be there. Ive owned 7 or 8 Warwicks now and none have ever had grit. Like I said, there could be something wrong with it. The bass has a broken nut and a lot of blemishes. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

i've seen this listing - yes - and im pretty sure the ad states the body was modified.
