I just took home my Corvette $$ 5 in Red today!! It's hands down the best bass I've ever played and it makes me actually feel bad that I play with a pick in my rock band!! I guess I'll just have to actually bother to play properly now!!

Pics soon, when I can actually put it down!!

Ok. Enough talk. Took some photos. The blonde-haired-japanese-kid that needs a haircut is my son. He helped me out on some of the photos. I think he understands daddy's stoke.:D

Daywalker. Already PM'd you. Number por favor ;)

Here goes. There are six shots. I'll post three in each.

Edit: Not sure if these are showing up. I'll re-edit them in photoshop. Maybe they're too big. Here are the links just in case you're excited as I am. LOL.

How do you like my thumb? :hyper:

I've posted it already, but the pictures were so crappy, now at least I'm doing it justice (still a bit of 'shaky' cam...).

I think I deserve to be a club member!

Oh yeah, stats...

Thumb BO 5, 4 piece Wenge neck, Wenge fretboard, 2 piece Ovangkol body (Although it's weird, it looks like a crossbreed between bubinga and ovangkol).

Ah GAS... Does it ever end?:rollno:

No.... :( lol

I know everyone goes one about the poor nuts in recent Warwicks, but that's not my only peeve about the construction.

Was wondering if anyone had any problem with their strap locks. Both of mine fell off, and had to take it get it filled in so they could re-drill it. Even now I think they're not 100% solid and looking to get it done again (recessing strap locks if I can find some anywhere)... anyone with the same problem?

Well here's some new pictures of the thumb enjoy!

Nope. I have the recessed strap lock system (Dunlop?) on mine, but I've heard stories about the normal strap buttons getting loose.

As they say, a picture = 1,000 words

I think it is the same. Note that mine is hidden inside the body. I am not sure if they are designed to just be screwed onto the wood, like normal straplocks. It's pretty cool, even though it looks a bit flimsy. When you press the button, the 4 internal ball pins disengage, and free the strap. The pins are pretty small.

BTW, this should be another discussion, not in the 'show your warwicks' thread :/ But since I provided a picture, with a bit of a bass showing, it's all right!
