Ok, here is mine. Overall very happy with it, just gonna have it "modded" a bit - will move upper strapbutton at the end of the horn (closer to the 12th fret) to enhance balance.

Hey, aren't you the guy that posts those vids on youtube of 311 and Incubus?? If so, you rip em pretty good man!

Does the SS2 have a Seymour Duncan preamp and basslines AJB5's? I have a set of them sitting right next to me but I have no idea how to wire them in. If you have the same setup, can you post a pic of the insides or something? Also, how are the knobs setup? thx.

Thanks, that's me!

It came with AJB-5s in it, but still uses the MEC preamp. I'll eventually get a new pre once I can afford it :p I don't know if you've seen the wiring diagram on the SD site, but it's color coded so you can see how to hook it up. The knobs would be different from the stock MEC setup, though.

Wiring Diagram

If you want to retain the same knob setup, you'd have to decipher the wiring diagram, although it would basically be the same. The wires would go to different pots, but the electrical connections wouldn't change. Like the default stacked volume/blend on an SSII would still use the same connections as the diagram shows, but it would be on the same physical pot instead of two different ones. I hope that helps :hmm:

It's funny that I saw this thread right after I came back from Guitar Center and tried out an UNBELIEVABLE Warwick $$ for the first time. I tried a Corvette first, and it wasnt anything different from my freakin Rockbass! I tryed out the $$ and good god what tone!!! I've never really understood the sound difference between active and passive P-ups. Well, yeah, I know now. My 2 cents!
