The Pedals Photogenic

Malekko Charlie Foxtrot. This one has an odd color scheme with a sparkly finish that makes it difficult to photograph. The light blue lettering and orange details are visually weird. But it's a cool graphics job with the skull and airplane shapes and so on.

A nice moment from the weekend.
This Red Snapper features the original circuit from the first version circa 1998, plus the skinny fish graphic. Near as I can tell, "transparent overdrive" is an ideal or a fiction. Yet some attempts to achieve it yield excellent sounding pedals. They have a voice and are not transparent; but they sound and feel great. Red Snapper is one.
If I have to choose one flanger pedal as my favorite, the MF Flanger is it. Its only notable limitation is that it can’t cop the Electric Mistress sound. But for that I have the Hartman Flanger, which comes close. And although it is not as raw sounding as the original MXR Flanger, the MF Flanger does everything right in the MXR style (plus it has a negative feedback feature that, to my preference, sounds fat and present unlike the famous hollow sound of the A/DA Flanger).

Ask yourself, is there a more authentically 80's looking pedal than an Ibanez bass chorus? It has pac-man knobs for crying out loud.
One of these has been on my wish list for quite a while; finally showed up recently. Nice purple color.

Night Owl Parabellum, which had some collaboration with Nick from Dunwich. It's a gritty germanium drive box that does three channels of parallel distortion for low/mid/high. It has great crackly lo-fi sounds. It can get wild and edgy, but the lower gain settings are what I use most. The mid control on it is fantastic.
It took a bit to grow on me, but I'm really happy to have mine.
I mean, it has models’ names for the settings, and a glitter knob. Clearly this is photogenic.
Indeed, I must try that into the Underground Accelerator. Makes me want to crank up the monster rig and blast
Mine is set up with the tone at a little past 11 o'clock and the other two just around noon.
On the Accelerator, mids and bass cranked, the treble dialed just a bit back from max, to push the midscoop a bit lower.
Disclaimer: This setup will produce lows. Make sure your preferred means of amplification know what to do with them ;-)
