Well, believe it or not, I was playing my Squarmoth (Squier VM Jazz w/a Warmoth goncalo alves/bocote fretless neck, SD Antiquity IIs, and an Aggy OBP-2) way more than the Pentabuzz. My brother was giving me a hard time about it and it's true what he says, I'm just a Jazz guy. I've yet to play another type of bass that suits me as well. Anyhow, hopefully someone will pick up my Pentabuzz and give it the home it deserves. It's a phenomenal instrument, just not quite right for me.

I have a mid 80's Pedulla fretless and I have to say, I have never liked the lay out/configuration of the electronics. I have been thinking about swapping out the electronics for something with a stacked volume/balance...(would love to find a stacked volume/balance whereby the vol know pulled out to engage the active boost) and adding a Bass and Treble (maybe a sweepable mid) and a series parallel knob. Has anyone swapped out their electronics and liked the results? Any recommendations? Thanks!
I've never seen THAT many stacked knobs in a circuit, but the OBP-2 used to have a stacked treble/bass knob (no mids). Also, the EMG BQC has stacked treble/bass and mid level/frequency sweep. It's an 18V monster.
Let us know if you find a stacked vol/bal; that would be a great config.
Yeah....I mentioned the desire to find a stacked volume ( push/pull) and balance on single know another thread somewhere a while back...apparently they must not exist. My Factor has a stacked vol/bal but the active circuit is engaged via a rotary knob.

Thought I’d post a picture of “the family.” Frankly, I’ve never had this many basses at one time in my life! The Schecter will probably be on the block sometime in the near future; I no longer need it now that I have my gorgeous defretted Thunderbass. However, I’ve always wanted a Tobias, so I may spring for one sometime next year (don’t really need it, just want one!).

I don't have pics to put up except in my phone but I want to claim #202 as I have a Pedulla Pentabuzz (19mm) and Hexabuxx (17mm). I never thought I would like a six string as it had "too many strings" but the spacing on the Hexabuzz really feels like it was meant for me!

The Hex showed up on the bay but was local to me so we did a meet and greet and I bought it. I'm a sucker for fretless basses even though I have little talent. The Hex is a purple-blue refinish that once sold here on TB sans pics. It's very nice and is say the refinish is a 9.5/10 scale with some imperfections where the fretboard and body meet.

Yup, thats the one. The action is set so incredibly low it's amazing. It's like the only bass i ever pull out of the closet now (because the house is for sale or it would be out all the time)!
Thing is not really purple, and not really blue. Kind of an electric blue with some purple tinge to it.
Came with a nice gig bag AND a almost new aftermarket hard case as well.
Set me back a whopping, wait for it..... waaaaaaaaait for it.... $1500. WOOT!

i'm just a sucker for fretless basses. In trying to get good on it, it is all I will play for some time to come. Need to train the ears and fingers to get used to it. If I ever get any good all my fretted basses will go. Like, if it were good enough for Jaco, should be good enough for me, right?
