After 20 years of saving money and dreaming about it, my wife finally pushed me to let Michael build me a custom MVP and a Pentabuzz. I never expected them to be at least 5 times better than the ones I had from the 90's. They are an amazing piece of work, that will be with me until I die. I absolutely adore them. The wood grains are insane, the craftmanship is astounding. They look and sound magnificent.

In for a number please!

Love my Buzz more than I thought I would a bass.
There's something about the MVP that just feels right.
Maybe it's all psychological, but it's just so comfortable and easy to play.

Buzz is an '87, MVP an '89.

Previous MVP owner swapped tuning pegs, so I went ultralite.

Buzz came stock w/ EMG's and a passive tone circuit, but I installed some Bart pickups and guts.
It sounded great before, but now it's an absolute monster!

I really dislike the flatwound strings that are on it (GHS, I think). I ordered up a set of Pedulla Nickels and will put those on as soon as they show up.

GK MB112 II. Love that little combo. I record via a Avolon U5, and will experiment soon with micing the GK with a Sennheiser MD421 along with it soon.

The one occasion I played a Pentabuzz was about 12 years ago, through an EA rig. It was a head and two extension cabs, either 10 or 12" speakers. Even without EQ'ing it to suit the room, I plugged it in and was hit with the most incredible, singing kind of fretless tone I've ever heard. Sheer magic!

Lots. You can use any amp and cab you want. One of my main presets is using a Vox AC-30 and a Diezel Herbert in parallel. I can dial up pretty much anything I want in it, and it is nice to get pretty constant updates from Fractal Audio.

Dude... I had a feeling your bass was the one on the Pedulla homepage... pretty sure that's it. The other pictures available of the charcoal finish look nothing like yours. I almost wish I'd of ordered the charcoal instead of the arctic night...

Well, you don't have to. It's an album with Dutch poems (with music composed by me, and I'm playing most instruments as well). The bass playing is quite simple, to draw attention to the most important part (the poems).

Beautiful bass Selta. I play my Hexabuzz through a stereo rig with chorus and a flashback x4 into an SWR WM15 combo and an old Acoustic 135 guitar amp head with 2x10 fender cab. It is a spiritual experience!
