What GUITAR STAND fits Buzz bass?

I use this one for my Buzz; works like a champ (see pic below)

What GUITAR STAND fits Buzz bass?
I am also requesting to join the club (I'm not practiced in chat sites, so feel free to school me).
I need a good GUITAR STAND for my Buzz. From the pic you can see: it's almost touching the floor and it is in the way of a knob. You guys like what brand? Model? Hercules? (This stand I'm using works great with my Jazz bass)... (I am glad I pulled the trigger on this 1990 Buzz, no disappointments here!)

Nice Buzz! Still trying to fill in the numbers I accidentally skipped, so we’re giving you #242. Welcome to the club!

I’m using Konig and Meyer A-frame stands similar to what you’re using. The basses do sit low, but I alleviated the knob problem by removing the rubber cover and cutting an inch or so off that piece with a hack saw. If you inject soapy water under the rubber cover with a syringe, it’s easy to remove and re-install. Of course, the rubber piece will need to be trimmed down as well.

I use the Hercules stands for all my basses. Great quality and have never let me down.

Well, looks like the e-mail notification checked out again and I’ve been missing all the action. Grrr!

Sorry for the delay Marcus – congrats on scoring such a unique beauty. New hardware looks awesome! Still trying to fill in the numbers I accidentally skipped, so we’re giving you #241. Welcome to the club!

Say, waitaminnit – did you by chance get the bass from RoxBox ? Can’t be too many 1999 MVPs with that color floating around!

Hi Wayne, I would like to join please. I just got a 1990 Buzz Signature. I recently posted a pic asking for advice on guitar stands that fit the control layout (I went with a Hercules). Thanks, Paul

Just noticed some bad news. Unfortunately the top end of the truss rod (the part you need to adjust it) has been broken off. :( Somehow I get the feeling that the extra screwhole was part of the frustration when it broke off, like the one who did it, was too frustrated to pay attention.

No support from Pedulla (no trussrod repairs and not services oversees). I'll have to find a luthier who ocan fix it.

Good thing is: neck is straight, and doesn't seem to move a lot.

DSC_0039.JPG

A shame to see that this lovely looking MVP is suffering this issue. I'm sure there aren't many MVP six strings around. Worst comes to worst, I'd ship it back to Pedulla in the US and have it looked at, though any skilled technician should be able to fix it in a fashion.

Just for clarity, what do the controls on the three knob Pedullas do? My 1994 Buzz has a three knob setup. There is the volume and blend, but what is the third control? An active tone knob? I leave mine set flat in the detent. Turned one way, it boosts a load of frequencies and turned the other way, it cuts. I've never known any other bass with a setup like it.

Curiously, my 1990 Buzz has a similar double hole. I thought that maybe using the off-center hole might help the cover to swing out of the way for adjustments, but does not seem likely and I haven't tried it.
(Maybe best to send your bass to Mike for a fix?)

No I can't send it to the US. 'Sorry we don't offer that kind of service' says Christine. Only the stuff on the service page and ONLY for citizens of the US. I have a friend in Portland, Maine who would drive for me (I offered to send it to him and he could drop it off). But if she's not willing to accept my bass and let Michael repair it, even when I would pay the shippings costs back and forth (plus all other costs, even a chance to pay extra tax when it arrives in the Netherlands).

Not so much of a fanboy anymore. Love this basses, but man...this is ridiculous.

Woah. That’s, surprising. I know Mikes in semi-retirement mode now... but unwilling to fix one of his greatest creations? :(

That bit at the top of the page is new. Maybe it’s just too much work? I know my Fodera has a removable and reversible truss rod so if it were ever damaged the fretboard wouldn’t have to come off the neck. Not sure of Mikes designs though. Either way, I really hope you can get it fixed locally.

I spoke to Christine on a somewhat similar topic and what I took away from the conversation was that they'd accept it from the US and ship it back to and address in the US. I'm sure if you send it to your friend in the US and have him deal with it, that they'd do the work - pretty much what is says in Element Zero's post. I'd e-mail Christine back and ask the specific question regarding your friend if you haven't done so. When I had the conversation it was about mailing addresses - I live in Canada by the way, so also not in the US.

New member. This is my second PentaBuzz, both from 1994, with narrower 17.5mm bridge. Sold the first one, stupidly. Bought this one from fellow TB member smoof in 2012. Has ill-advised Aguilar preamp installed (not a fan of mid controls in preamps), I'm planning on replacing it with the stock one—there's no need to try to improve on a perfect tone.

Yes, I have proposed this in my mails, but she referred to the 'services' page. No trussrod repair is on the page, ánd it's only for customers from inside the US. I've decided not to try to convice her (although I am curious what Michael himself thinks, and if he even knows). It seems like a waste of energy. Sent a mail to a Dutch luthier. We'll see.
