Yes, I do believe it’s a Pedulla XJ-INT. Very rare. I have only seen 1 photo of one owned by someone else.

For all Pedulla lovers, I got my hands on a MVP4 De Luxe few days ago and instantly made a video with two other basses I got at home.

Beautiful bass and awesome sound...unfortunately I have to return it to my friend

Just bought this from another TB-er: '97 Thunderbolt 5. I was half-heartedly shopping around looking for a good deal on a Stingray 5 when I came across this in the same price range, and it seemed like a no-brainer. I read through this whole thread while the bass was being shipped, and I admit I got nervous. The three most frequent topics are 1) replacing the electronics; 2) repairing the truss rod; and 3) fixing deteriorating finish (mostly on fretless fingerboards). However, my 24-year old bass showed up looking brand new and working perfectly (with an un-marred truss rod), so I guess I'm all set. It sounds good, but I haven't had a chance to play it with other people yet. The neck is great, no question about that.

I totally agree! At least from my experience.
The day I bought my first (Thunderbass), I played every high end bass in Dallas. That neck totally smoked every other bass. Also, the B string sounded so pure and consistent with the other strings. Other basses at the time (late 90s) had wimpy Bs. I knew in the first 5 seconds of playing it in the store, I'd be disappointed if I settled for any of the other basses.
Today, my Sadowsky NYC gets the most work, but whenever I need some speed, I grab the Thunderbass.

Just a note to add (I was too late to edit my post)
The pics show how different this color can look in different light. Most shots of mine indoors have that dark, smokey look like BassPaws. I like that.

The used market for these has really dried up. Guys that have them now aren't giving them up. I have this one and a caramel 'buzz my kids will inherit.

@JEDI BASS thank you ! I will start flat and go from there . I am just not getting the famous buzz and am still searching for it.

Pressing on the strings with just the slightest finger pressure (enough to produce the note, of course) will bring you closer to the mwah or buzz you are looking for.

NTMB?

Here's a pic of the control cavity of my MVP. The back of the cover has a sticker describing the guitar and includes "NTMB"
I can't figure that. Anyone have a guess?

Yeah, the letters designate the pre. Just curious what they stand for. MB for mid-boost. NT may be New Tone. No Treble!

This is by far the most beautiful bass I've ever seen and it sounds like the best Pedulla I've ever had (about 7 of them...) Really happy with it.

But now the mystery.. on the head stock of this 2007 bass, there is the autograph of Jonh Clayton. I've never seen a Pedulla with an autograph on the headstock.. would love to get the full story on that one. Does anybody have an idea on how to solve this mystery?

That is a really sweet looking MVP! As to your question about the signature on the headstock, this was an option that Mike offered for custom builds.
