I thought I would join the party of refinished Pedullas...

The Thunderbass was in pretty ugly cosmetic condition (transparent yellow with a TON of worn poly - down to the wood).
The facelift is unbelievable! Pics don't do it justice at all!

This bass had the Pedulla preamp + bass & treble from the Bartolini NTBT 2 band EQ. The pickups were strictly passive in this bass (later models had the active Barts in them), and I might add a coil tap later on. I left in the proprietary preamp and added a Darkglass Tone Capsule (bass on a single pot & hi/low mid on a stacked pot) to replace the NTBT. Sounds unbelievable!!

Up next is a Thunderbolt that I've had for 15+ years. I refinished it once before, but wasn't really bonding with my refin. This one looks much better and reminds me of Mike's Arctic Night (I was aiming for that color, but I think I was a little too dark with the blue).
This one has an Audere 4 band preamp, Delano Drivers pickups with a coil tap for each pickup (parallel/series/single).

I'm not a metric guy, but measuring at the bridge, string center tot string center, it appears to be a little tighter than 17.5 mm. I've never worried about a number on any bass, but rather if it was comfortable. This is a very comfortable neck, sort of like the "thin, fast, Fodera neck. Not chunky at all. Pics tomorrow.

Looking for string recommendations. I put some DR lo riders on it and the b string is a little mushy. Especially the open B. The fat part of the string is wrapping around the tuning post and not quite straight enough from the nut to the post. I use DR on my 35” scale basses with through body stringing and it’s perfect but this is obviously shorter.
