The Pedulla Club!

I think when I bought mine their tag line was "Made the same way you play, with our hands" or something like that.

you must have an old case I guess!!!? :D

My case says nothing at all except M.V. PEDULLA GUITARS, and inside there's a tag saying CASE MADE IN CANADA.
I've got an mvp dating 1990 according to pedulla's website... and the tagline on the site is YOU NEVER PLAYED BETTER.

Proud Pedulla owner since 1997. I bought it with my employee discount back when GC actually had good basses. I wouldn't have been able to afford it any other way.

Welcome to the club socialleper!

What is the sonic difference between a Thunderbuzz and Pentabuzz, if anyone knows?

Thanks.
Michael has samples on his website:

IME, it depends more on the on the electronics than the body, esp soapbars vs P/J or J/J pickups + whether (or not) you've got his 3- or 4-knob controller configuration &/or the thunderguts module...

I can't make a direct A/B comparison for you, 'cause my Buzz basses are P/J and J/J, whereas my T-Bass & T-Bolt have soapbars. That said, the tonal difference between my J/J HexaBuzz w/4-knobs & my P/J PentaBuzz (my favorite bass) w/3 isn't very big; although the J/J sounds a little thinner to me (it's really sweet in the upper registers and on the C string, however!), I use a little bass boost to compensate.

Ideally, I'd like the P/J, 4-knob configuration best. Michael mentioned to me once that - for versatility - he preferred the P/J to the J/J, but that's not an option for his 6-strings.

Only my T-Bass 6 has the T-guts module; I seldom use it.

Michael is always happy to answer questions & talk w/players about their needs.:)

Best of luck!

I just posted this in the FS forum.:bassist:

Any one have a wiring diagram or detailed pics of an 86 MVP. I'm restoring one that's been put through the ringer and all the electronics are out in a bag with lots of other parts lol. As I mentioned its an 86 with bartoloni p j setup and looks to be 4 knobs a pickup toggle a mini toggle and an led.
Thanks

Drop me a direct email and I will send you detail shots of my '86's wiring that you can work from.

Nice! I gotta say I'm jealous because I've got some serious gas for a midnight arctic MVP 6! SO much that if I can swing it, when I send my cherry PentaBuzz in for a fingerboard refresh, it might come back midnight arctic!

It's actually Peacock Blue. Arctic Midnight is my favorite too.

^^^ Interesting way to mic your bass.

It was the soundman's choice. It really brings out the acoustic attributes of the bass. :D

If you're restoring that poor "HELP ME" bass listed on eBay recently, I hope you'll be posting a lot of before & after pics!
Best wishes...

My Pentabuz is of a similar vintage with similar electronics that have been modified a bit, so I wouldn't mind seeing a diagram or a pic, as well.
