I remember some 20 years ago there was a horserace in Louisiana conducted in heavy fog, where the winner was later determined to have pulled up and hidden in the haze shortly after breaking from the gate, then jumping back in as the horses came around the turn to win by a couple of easy lengths.
I'm gonna try a similar strategy here for 2019.
