Thomas Jefferson is probably my favourite of the founding fathers. He said so many great things. And the Declaration of Independence is such a great read.

The Declaration Of Independence is Surely a Killer piece of writing...literally Earth Shattering...And he did so much other really cool stuff!
The Library of Congress, the enlightened attitude he brought to Philadelphia for the Continental Congress(es), the creation of Monticello...the fact that the word "President" is nowhere to be found on his headstone, but instead, he identifies himself as the founder of UVA! THAT'S a cool twist!!
Yeah, he was my favorite Founding Father for a long time.
Then, about the time I was 25 or 30, I read Common Sense (again) and I was bowled over.
That lead (naturally) to The Rights Of Man...both of which I can see from where I'm sitting right now.
THAT lead to a Wild biography...from the utterly failed corset maker, to the utterly failed tax collector, to the waif who washed up on the shore of the Colonies, to the (wildly successful) pamphleteer who refused any money, and donated it straight to the Continental Army, to the utterly broke and broken old man who was forced to depend on the kindness of friends for a place to sleep! to the guy whose simple grave on Long Island Was Robbed...perhaps by admirers... Holy Poop, what a life...and an afterlife!!
Paine College, an HBCU in Augusta, GA, is home to the one-and-only statue/memorial to its namesake in North America!
There's one in his hometown in England, too...but I forget the name of that burgh.
Yeah...from the time I first read about him in elementary school, Jefferson was my guy...but for most of my life, Thomas Paine has been my favorite Founding Father.
Also...Walter Isaacson wrote a biography of Ben Franklin that made me cry.

Them longer E and A strings really sing, it is not ALL about the B as most talk about.
And they are slightly smaller all around than a Fender Jazz or P so they fit any case.
Did the Cow on the cover of Atom Heart Mother get kind of famous after the album came out? I mean, were there people in town saying " I drank the milk from the Pink Floyd Cow"?
The cow did receive royalties for that album. I believe her cut was 2%, and that's the whole truth.
