Man, Bartman, I had a white/gold 5L that was stolen from me 3 years ago. That picture brought back memories!
All worked out in the end though..insurance came through, then Joe cleaned out his closet and built a few more... Any Detroiters out there, my bands playing at The New Dodge bar in Hamtramck tonight. Love to see some friendly faces out there!

Wow. That SUCKS. I've been fortunate in only having had a saxophone stolen so far . . .

I'd been thinking of going with a black PG, which would look sharp (sort of a reverse tuxedo), but lately I've been thinking that the gold is more retro looking.

And yes Josh, DHL does suck. But so do a lot of delivery companies. I had a bass shipped cross country using Fedex, and watched its progress all the way to Portland. Then for reasons which still remain unclear, it took a brief side trip up to Washington before finding its way back to Portland and then to my house. Generally Fedex has been good for me, but I guess they all screw up pretty regularly.

Maybe it had some relatives in the area it wanted to see first???

I really dig the gold myself...first 'fish I ever laid my eyes on was a white and gold...a guitarist pal of mine was and still is a Slingshot freak and had just picked up his first and only bass...a white and gold 4 string...he sold it a few years later and didn't give me the chance to make an offer....still pissed at him!

Now...6 years later I finally got one.....

Well, I was right---and wrong! It is a quilted mahogany finish, but it is a faux finish, not a veneer of real wood!
