Oooh, nice! An early one, too. Slap a black pickguard on that bad boy and you've got Dawgfish II!Nice 5L on eBay. I think I'm going to go after it. I've always regretted getting rid of my 5L and the one on the bay is as close to Thumpy (early one) as I'm likely to get. Also I have gig money, lots of gigs coming up, and a birthday next month. I like the color too. I may be willing to go fairly high on it.

I've got a set of standard-length Fender 8250s on my 5L and they fit.Chef or anyone else: I know the 5-stringers are 35" scale. Do they need the extra long 36" scale strings or can the regular 34" scale sets be made to fit?
