The Reverend Club (part 7)

Well, it's been a long time since I've had a Rev, but I just picked up my new (to me!) BH5. Don't know if there's numbers anymore, but if so, I'm in. Now that I have one again, I will be sticking around for a while!

The tapewounds are new for me, I typically like roundwounds, and of late, DR Sunbeams - but I'm gonna give these the ol' college try - so far they are cool, we'll see how they work out with the band at rehearsal on Tuesday.

Thanks for sanwin17 for holding on to this for me:bassist:! Forgot how much I liked these basses, and the BH5 is just too cool! Crappy cell photos will have to do for now - and they really don't do the bass justice - but I know, I know... No photos, no bass!

Thanks!
Yea, I am really happy I have a 'fish again. The tuxedo Rev case just sealed the deal. Still has some of the paperwork, the sticker and the Allen key in the little ziplock baggie labeled: "B HOUSER". Sanwin17 is a really great guy, if he was selling something I was wanting and I had the cash, I would not hesitate to do business with him again.

The only problem with having a Reverend again is it turns what was previously mere curiosity about a Rev 4-string PJ into G.A.S.!!

Rev PJ's are awesome. It's my "you're going to have to pry it out of my cold, dead hands" bass

Hmm. So my long scale D'Addario Chrome flats don't make it all the way to the nut on the BH5. I end up with something like 3/16" hanging on the wrong side of the nut. I should have known. 35" scale = extra long scale!

Still though, I wonder... will a little bit of that fabric that they wrap the ends of the string with be a real issue? Anyone, thoughts?
