Mercalli 5 Fam Fam!!I joined the club today! Very happy with it so far out of the box. Need to get some new string on there and lower the action a little to my preference.
The neck is awesome. It sits great in my hand and the spacing is super comfy.Mercalli 5 Fam Fam!!

well my suggestion is always flats so not much help there. However, they do sound great on a mercalli. Not my video but you can hear some good sounds here:I want try to a variety of round wounds on it. Any suggestions are welcome! I have a pair NYXLs lying around so I'll start there.
Let us know how those sound, I use regular nickel XLs and after the initial "zing" wears off, they are very thumpy on the Mercalli V.I want try to a variety of round wounds on it. Any suggestions are welcome! I have a pair NYXLs lying around so I'll start there.

My favorite rounds are DR Fat Beams. They never get overly bright and "pingy" the way some nickels do. The current set on my Justice is about 6 months old and still has good life.I want try to a variety of round wounds on it. Any suggestions are welcome! I've tried a few, but have settled on Roto 66 stainless on my Mercalli 5 and Roto 66 nickel on my BH5I want try to a variety of round wounds on it. Any suggestions are welcome! I have a pair NYXLs lying around so I'll start there.
Looking for Flats reco's for my Mercalli 5.
I've never played flats and I think they would feel and sound amazing on the Mercalli. I just have no idea what I'm even looking at while shopping and I would rather not go thru a couple hundred bucks testing the flavors.

I've got the GHS Precision Flats on my Reverend Raymond. My bass shares the split brick pickup with the Mercalli. These strings have a nice deep thump to them, which is what I'm looking for. I don't know what type of music you'll be using them for, but if you want that sound, but still a tad of brightness, the GHS Precision Flats would be a good choice.Looking for Flats reco's for my Mercalli 5.
