Thanks, Chris. Taranaki is a 5-6 hrs drive away and Groove street about 3-3,5 hrs. Toma Okaze in Gent, Belgium is slightly closer by. I'll check 'm out for a decision bass in due time.
There's no border issue, as it's all EU countries. Thanks for your prompt reaction, much appreciated!

Just a heads up

Noticed a couple of changes on the reverend basses. Decision and Justice now have dots instead of blocks (which I actually prefer) and it looks like the Thundergun no longer has a reverse headstock. I probably would have bought on vs my Decision had I known that. Well maybe not the Oceanside green is pretty killer. Only reason I looked is my Decision has dots instead of blocks.

Here is my new decision. Only bass I've received that was setup exactly how I like it out of the box. Didn't have to change a thing or even tune.

Thanks and Yes actually. The Thundergun was excellent too. The one I checked out had the reverse headstock which was a deal breaker for me. Otherwise I probably would have bought that instead. But I do love the Oceanside Green. It sealed the deal for me. I have played all the new models with the exception of the Justice. They were all excellent in their own ways.

Found a Thundergun and a Justice in a local shop today. I really liked the split pickup, but I had no use at all for the thick brick in the bridge position. I also did not like the painted neck, the satin neck on the Justice felt much better to my hand. Looks like the Decision is the best fit for me...of course they didn't have one of those!

Cool! I am really surprised by how great my decision plays. I asked Ken at Reverend if the had a PLEK machine, nope they have Zack S Green (zsg) the human PLEK machine.

And thanks Tom, I agree 100% the BGM review made me take a second loook at the new Reverends and once I saw oceanside green it was all over!

Really like the dots on the new basses...would also like to see a natural headstock. Might have to spring for a Decision...

I've been playing the crap out of my P/J Rumblefish for the past two years. So far the things held up like a monster and continues to sound fantastic. My go to wears worn LaBella 760s and is paired with an Ampeg BT-15N, V4BH (115), or a Weber AB200 (either 4x10 or 8x10). I am so loving the old school tone.

Much to my dismay, today I noticed that the bridge pickup cover has cracked all over. I don't intend to, but I must put a lot of pressure on the pickup when I rest my thumb when I'm playing close to the bridge. It's got crack lines on all five sides now.

I took a look at this several years ago when there was only one crack and it seemed that the PU was basically epoxied into the cover and that the cover was not removable.

Question 1: Does anyone know if this is correct - that the PU is epoxied into the cover, or I just didn't try hard enough to remove it? I'm really afraid to force anything as it could easily damage the coil I fear.

Question 2: Is the PU replaceable? Mine has these adjustable pole pieces which are definitely not present on my other Rev PUs. I haven't seen them any commonly available PUs. I have no idea what might even work as a replacement since I'm imagining that the performance is closely paired with the neck P-bass style PU.

Thanks for any advice you might have...

Chris, if you could check on that it would be great. Also, do you know how to remove the covers? I did see elsewhere on TB that some peeps managed to remove DiMarzio covers that were epoxied on with a razor blade, but not sure if the Reverend PUs could be removed so readily.

I've changed them out on my early Rumblefish (J/J) several times before to accompany various pick guard changes, but those had fixed pole pieces and were not epoxied in. I think those were made by Ken Burns, if I recall correctly.

Thanks Daktari...I think I'm gonna just wait until they fall off and then put one of my spare covers on it.

Shown is the bass, what I play it through, and for laughs, a picture of one my cabs from the 70's which I'm grateful I no longer own.
