My 2010 came with the 3rd fret a little low, but you'd never tell at the height of the action when new.
That's the downside of sending them out with a fairly high action.
I dressed the frets as best I could, but it needs a little more off the rest to be perfect.
It's quite useable right now, and the action is pretty low, but a little buzzy.
In with my sexy 4003W.
I wonder what the Walnut one would look like with a black pickguard????

I'm a big fan of wood control knobs. A set of Walnut knobs would look great on the 4003W.

Just an FYI - I was notified today by Musicians Friend that my 4003W order would be delayed until 8/8/2014, so I called them up and cancelled it. The rep stated that the Fireglo and Jetglo models were on an unadvertised special for $1399.00. Needless to say, I ordered a Jetglo. Shipping tomorrow, should be here early next week.
Mapleglo --- that $1399 price sounds like a good deal. Is there a promo code for that unadvertised special ?
The rep did not mention any kind of code. Looking at the email confirmation of the order, I don't see any code there either, just the $1399.00 price. Nothing under "discount" either.
Man, I just called and talked to a guy that said only a used Mapleglo is 1399. I would have jumped on a Jetglo at that price and I even mentioned that but he said no go. Other colors start at 1619...
If one of you guys has a particular representative you like that would help me, please advise. Thanks!
I keep seeing this same scenario. One guy says he got one for $1399 and then the next guy tries and gets told no. What Gives?
And what is weird, is that when I called originally, I tried to order a Mapleglo or Jetglo model for the $1399 price, and was told that no discounts were offered on RIC products. I figured if I'm paying full price, then I'll get the walnut model. It was only after I cancelled that order because of the delay, that the rep mentioned the unadvertised special.
