I hope this beauty is wearing flats!
BTW. What's with the hippie haircut head-stock?

Just a reminder. We have a petition going on over at the official Fender message board to reissue an affordable Bass VI. Even if it's MIM. It's doing well, but we could use more signatures.

I'm really not interested in an Agile. Never was. I purchased an SX Jazz bass a year ago and it wasn't worth it, IMO. Just sits there now. I'd rather be patient and put that $400 toward an actual Fender. I'm sure there are others that share my sentiment. Actually everyone that already signed the petition probably does.

Not mine, but here´s a 6-String Shortscale by Mensinger Guitars

Interesting points on the Agile. I guess I would consider it. At the end of the day these instruments are just tools. There are song ideas I have right now that would involve a bass VI. And I'm eager to get started.
I'm.....this......close.......
hiya,
a bit of advice needed here,
i really fancy having a play on a bass vi, or perhaps owning one but the odds are against me. i'm a lefty, haven't got loads of cash, and i'm in the uk so getting hold of an aguile (or whatever they're called) will be tricky.
but i've got a plan.
my current gigging and abusing bass is an epi eb-0. would it be feasable to mod this to be a bass vi?
It's 30" scale, and the nut width is around 38mm or 1.5" for you imperialists. i've already changed the bridge to a schaller 3d, so i could simply get the 6 string equivalent, and all i'd need then is a new nut and 2 more tuners on the headstock. i don't really mind butchering the top to get 2 guitar tuners on it as the thing only cost me £30 in the first place.
would this work or be a bit of a waste of time and energy?
i just fell a little bit in love with the original eb-6 thats up ^
