I figured out the notifications thing (on my Galaxy S3). I had to go into my applications manager and uncheck the notifications box. Maybe it clicked itself on after the update, since that's when I started getting notified of visitors.

Finally! I made it to five stars. I had to blow about $350K to buy up all the sections in the conform-o-meter. Now I wish they'd hurry up and relase level 38. I passed up 37 a few days ago.

Good point, I was thinking that too. This update also seems a little buggy though. My human statue guy on my boardwalk keeps getting stuck in once place, and at one point was stuck behind Moe's! I thought he was supposed to stay on the boardwalk.

On another note, I won $40,000 (Springfield Moneys) in the dog race--I always bet on the long shot.

I think once you get the elf house, the elves will collect the gift bags. Read that on the EA Tapped Out forum, but I haven't got the elf house yet to verify.

Yep, this has happened to me, and just last night I dropped some packages that went behind buildings. On my map, I go into edit mode and dim the buildings to help me find them. Not ideal, but better than not finding them.
