In general there are 4 basic families. 200-400 series, 500-800, premium and prestige. Most of the differences within those 4 groups are cosmetic. Hardware/electronics specs tend to change at each step up. They all play like SR's though, tone is the big determining factor as they all sound different. Quality in a rational sense does rise at each break but it doesn't mean we'd all want a prestige over what we're currently playing.
