I'm going to throw down my SR950 with Dimarzio Model P/J pups, stripped to natural finish, play it with flat Chromes.
Also, my 1993ish SR500 that used to be turqouise/blue, I refinished it with a yellow dye for the maple body and tung oil. Has Seymour Duncon pups, sounds good and is light as a feather!

Consider the Lo Rider, Sunbeam, and Hi Beam Nickel strings, each has different tension. The Lo Riders seem to be more popular among TB users - due to higher tension. Go Nickel!
